About
Jen Davis, a Los Angeles based photographer, hails from New York. Raised in the Hudson Valley, Jen has been invested in theater and the arts from a very young age. She went on to study acting at Emerson College, and following her graduation, to pursue a career as an actor in New York. She worked on a number of Off- Broadway productions and furthered her studies at William Esper Studios.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Jen discovered her passion for the other side of the camera. She brings her strong background in acting to all of her shoots and strives to create a rapport with her subjects that is clearly visible in her photographs. With Jen, you will find not only a photographer, but a collaborator.

testimonials cont.
"It's like getting back in touch with your best friend from college or your sister or your cousin who you used to be really close with when you were young and your families owned a cottage together. That's what it feels like to shoot with Jen. She immediately brings the room to you. The comfort. There is no pressure of trying to get the best shot. One minute you are sharing an amusing anecdote, a hearty laugh, and the next you are looking at these great pictures of yourself.......wondering, 'How did she do that?! I thought we were just talking!' The woman is good."
- Nick Konow
"Jen really takes the time to make you at ease so you can get the shots you need. A lot of the time when you are shooting headshots you feel the pressure to "get it right", but Jen really facilitates an environment that helps you get that important shot. She gives you the freedom and confidence to be exactly who you are...which is exactly what you want in a great headshot. There is only one problem with Jen..she shot so many good photos I am having a hard time choosing which ones to use!"
- Vanessa Proctor
"Jen has a way of working with dignity and ease. There is no fuss or ego involved. You feel the comfort of a very strong collaboration with her that allows who you really are to show up in the pictures she captures."

FAQs
How long do the shoots last?
I believe in the process. Different people require different amounts of time. I will shoot until we both feel that we have nailed it.
Location and Lighting?
I shoot digital images in natural light. Occasionally I will travel to locations outside my Los Feliz neighborhood, but I have found most everything needed is in walking distance.
How many shots will you take?
I average about 250 - 300 shots per session.
